Lame Ducks Don't Care

Know where you stand. The majority of opposition to the Knoxville guns in parks bill are term limited and therefore not on the current ballot for reelection. Let them know that their last minute grandstanding to influence policy long after they've set sail back to their country clubs will not be tolerated!

Knoxville Guns In Parks Vote Tonight!

Knoxville Guns In Parks Vote Tonight!

The Knoxville City Council will be holding the first of two proposed votes tonight on whether to repeal the decades old ban on firearms in City parks. The proposed repeal will fail tonight if there is not enough support for the new motion to allow Tennessee Handgun Permit holders to carry in the City parks, following the new State law allowing for Permit holders to carry in local and State parks.

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel

Rob Frost

Barbara Pelot

Chris Woodhull

Vice Mayor Bob Becker

Are all against the measure. Let these people know where we stand!

Ask Mayor Haslam to take a stand!

Mayor Haslam once joined Mayor Bloomberg's anti-2nd amendement group. Now that he is running for Governor, he says that he has seen the light and now supports the 2nd Amendment. Mayor Haslam has enough influence over City Council to see that the ordinance allowing permit holders to carry in the parks and on the greenways passes if he will make a stand. Call Mayor Haslam today and let him know that gun owners will not trust him as Governor if he does not stand up for us as Mayor.

Knoxville Parks Gun Carry Workshop Tonight

We have just been informed that there is a possible compromise which would allow for carry on the Third Creek Greenway but not allow for carry in the City parks.

This is not acceptable. Call your City Council member and make your voice heard!

Come out to the workshop tonight and let City Council know how we feel!

Ladies Shoot Free Every Tuesday

Tuesday is "LADIES DAY" at Coal Creek Armory.

What does that mean, Chuck?

Well, that means that females can use our range for FREE and their male companions can use it for half price! Of course all new shooters must have a brief initiation, but there isn't any harm in that!

And, the best part is, if you don't want to put up with your husband, kids, boyfriend, or anyone else you don't have to. Come in, shoot some targets, soak up some "me" time and have a blast!
